Testimonials
Robert has been coaching our two children since 2016 (then 7 and 8 years old). During this time he has instilled in them a love of tennis and a sense of the importance of sport, fair play and exercise. His coaching programs, coupled with his competitive match programs, squads and Friday “carnival” type activities, has not only made the learning journey easy and fun, but has enabled solid progression of skills and match play.
Roberts clearly demonstrates a high level of proficiency as a tennis coach, particularly for junior players. His scaffolded approach and ability to relate technical aspects of the game is exceptional.
From a parents perspective, Robert communicates regularly on our children’s development and progression and is well organised in the running of his business and accommodating changes to schedules. It is apparent he navigated the significant impacts of COVID19 lockdowns to his business exceptionally well; balancing his coaching staff and clients needs with his business sustainbility.
The Pines in Chishom is convent for us and relatively well maintained. Robert was instrumental in getting approval and helping raise finances for the club to improve the practice wall and build a junior hard half court – perfect for coaching the very young – all without impacting on access to the practice wall and facilities during construction. Roberts business and love of tennis, in fact, has seen our family become Pines tennis club members and encouraged my wife and I to begin playing tennis again socially.
My wife and I have always found Robert very approachable, welcoming and responsive to requests and questions. Robert clearly has a love of tennis.
Thanks to CSOT and Robert, I am confident my children will continue to enjoy tennis for many years to come in both social and completive settings. The skills they have learnt are transferable to all aspects of life. As Robert says “Tennis, is a game for life”

I met Rob, two and half years ago. I am a mature person having returned to tennis after more than 20 years, having had no time after raising 4 children and building a business. I am 57. I had recommenced playing social tennis on Wednesday nights at the Pines and had been doing that for about 2 years. I was enjoying playing again but felt that there were areas of my game that needed work. I really did not know if I could improve because I felt that I was beyond the age where I could expect much improvement. I decided that I would book myself in for some one on one coaching with Rob and my 18 year old son who had just started playing joined me. Rob was reassuring and supportive. He guided me and showed us areas of our game that we could work on. After each coaching session, we would work on the techniques that he taught us. My enjoyment of my social tennis improved considerably as did my confidence due to his support.
When Covid impacted us during the lock down last year, having Rob available for one on one coaching sessions was a lifesaver for me. For half an hour per week, he would take me through drills and techniques that ensured that during the lock down, I was not going to lose my skills. In fact, once social tennis resumed, I found that I had improved even more.
I now attend cardio tennis sessions on Monday evenings with Rob. He is always kind, supportive and encourages everyone to excel to the best of their ability. Having Rob, guide me through this period of my tennis life has beyond helped me in so many ways and I have no hesitation for recommending him for coach of the year.

Myself and my family are members of the Pines Tennis Club and have been for approx. 3 years. It all started when my Son was looking to learn a new sport. Jarrad was 10 when he asked if he could go and try out a coaching lesson @ The Pines TC in Chisholm we contacted Robert Jamieson and he was very helpful and inviting us to come watch and for Jarrad to participate in a lesson.
From this Jarrad was very happy to join up and hasn’t looked back. The help Jarrad has received has shone through and we have happily watched him really enjoy being apart of the club and team and him wanting to further himself by also wanting to join up for League and then getting invited into Squad as well as his regular Lessons.
We decided as a family that we needed to Join up to the Pines club and become members ourselves so we could also become apart of this great family club. We have enjoyed being able to book courts so we can play a few games with our children and see their improvements on skills and knowledge of the game.
After a little while our daughter also asked if she could try lessons at tennis also, I must admit as she has a Learning disability I was hesitant at if this was even a possibility of her joining in on the lessons but after a few conversations with Robert he settled my thoughts with how much it would help her and with her also we haven’t looked back she is totally enjoying her lessons and the also the fact we can book a court on the weekend or during school holidays and go and have some outdoor family fun.
We find she does get very disappointed when we get wet weather that her lessons are cancelled, but as I said your not the only one that is disappointed as I'm sure the other students would be also, as not only for the lessons the coaches do a fantastic job but also to she gets to make new friends which she has and this is not something that she does easily.
Breanna also has enjoyed watching the progress of the club making the smaller courts available for the younger players and enjoys using them also, we feel this has made great improvements to our little family club also.
I feel the coaches ability to make a family like ours that weren’t sure on how far our kids would want to go with Tennis has absolutely made such a positive progress not only for our children but for us as parents also.

"Great community, Great coaches looking to help us reach our potential, built long lasting friendships and have really grown as a person through my time at CSOT."

"I just wanted to provide some feedback on Camille's first tennis lesson today. Awesome! Thank you! I am so pleased that I have chosen tennis for Camille and, specifically Robert & CSOT. The lesson was great, your interaction with the kids was fantastic (as were your assistant coaches) and I really feel like Camille got some exercise, and learned some skills. Camille spent 45 minutes after we arrived home, hitting a tennis ball out into the yard for our German Shepherd Boss to catch, and then return for her to do it all again. (Our other shepherd x kelpie doesn't like giving the ball back so is useless in this game) Thank you for a great program. Looking forward to next week"
